Just Where Is Your Energy Going?

Let’s talk stairs.

This is the most difficult and greatest energy loss in our American homes. Most all homes have the stairs to the second floor in the middle of the house. In Feng Shui this area is also smack dab in the middle ofour “Health” gua (1 of 9 areas) and it is often pointing right out the front door. This interprets into your health being between levels and going away from you. A pair of Fu Dogs at the bottom of staircase will slow down the energy from draining to quickly.

If your stairs have gaps in between them (such as in stairs that lead to basements), this is a biggie, as they represent “money leaking out”. The home owner will benefit a great deal by covering up the back of the stairs so that you can not see under the staircase.

If the top of the stairs go directly into a bedroom that is not so good, hang a beaded door divider over the door so that the door is always kept symbolically closed.

Light up narrow hallways going up steps as well as hanging a cut glass crystal at top of stairs on a red string suspended 9 or 18 inches from ceiling.

It's great if your builder planned ahead and consulted a Certified Feng Shui Practitioner prior to building, but no matter where your stairs are located you can make the necessary Feng Shui corrections.
